Thirty One

Play the German card game Thirty One (31). You can only swap cards with the central cards in the middle. Try to get as close to 31 as you can.

1. 1

   You each get a hand of cards, and some cards are face down as the stock.

2. 2

   Cards are ranked - in many games Ace is high, then King, Queen, Jack, 10...

3. 3

   Follow the suit of the first card played if you can. A higher card of the same suit wins the trick.

4. 4

   The winner of the trick leads the next one.

5. 5

   At the end, count your points - tricks, captured pile or declared sets decide the winner.
