Hartenjagen

Dutch hearts game only in Dutch language. This version is played with 32 cards and each hearts card is one penalty point, the queen of spades is 5 penalty points and the jack of clubs is 2 penalty points.

1. 1

   You each get a hand of cards, and some cards are face down as the stock.

2. 2

   Cards are ranked - in many games Ace is high, then King, Queen, Jack, 10...

3. 3

   Follow the suit of the first card played if you can. A higher card of the same suit wins the trick.

4. 4

   The winner of the trick leads the next one.

5. 5

   At the end, count your points - tricks, captured pile or declared sets decide the winner.
